Match the search experience to the content people need to find: site content, blog posts, or products.
CMS Max provides full-search, blog-search, and ecommerce search surfaces whose availability and filters depend on installed modules and page configuration.
Choose the search scope
- Full search: use the Full search widget for a search bar and results across eligible indexed content.
- Header search: use the current ecommerce header-icons widget where a search control belongs with account and cart actions.
- Blog search: enable the search option on the Blog listing or Blog widget when visitors should search posts.
- Product search: use the ecommerce search page and product-search controls when the store needs product, category, brand, or other configured filters.
Add and verify search
- 01Confirm the destination page. Make sure the intended search-results route exists and is public.
- 02Insert the supported widget. Use Insert Widget in the editor or the appropriate header or layout section.
- 03Test representative queries. Include exact names, partial terms, no-result terms, and mobile interaction.
- 04Review content eligibility. Draft, protected, user-only, no-crawl, or plugin-specific records may be excluded by their own rules.
