Use the footer to close navigation gaps, establish trust, and make legal and contact destinations predictable across the site.
A CMS Max footer is normally a reusable theme section assigned to layout footer slots and built from managed menus, site identity, contact data, and required policies.
Plan the footer content
- Primary destinations: compact product, service, support, or audience navigation that complements the header.
- Business identity: current organization name, useful contact path, and location details only when appropriate.
- Legal and trust: privacy or terms, accessibility, payment or security guidance, and other required notices.
- Connected products: link only to active CMS Max products or external properties the organization owns.
- Social links: include maintained profiles with descriptive accessible names and protected external-link behavior.
Build and assign the footer
- 01Create or edit the reusable footer section.
- 02Insert managed Menu widgets. Keep repeated navigation editable without changing markup.
- 03Use the Current Year and Site Name widgets where appropriate.
- 04Assign the section to the footer slot of each intended layout.
- 05Test wrapping, contrast, keyboard focus, external links, and mobile sticky-content clearance.
