Theme Sections
Define your site's static components. By default this includes a Header, Footer, Above Content, Below Content and Mobile Sticky Content. You can create more sections using the "New section" button on this page. You can edit sections by clicking on a section in the list. This will open the content editor, allowing you to make changes to the section.
Custom JavaScript and CSS
If necessary, you can add custom JavaScript and CSS in the "Template" section on the editor page of a Theme Section.
Before adding JavaScript in a Theme Section, you should consider what elements of a page this JavaScript will affect. If the script will only affect elements within this section, then this may be the right choice. However, if it effects other elements/pages of the site on a broader level, it will likely make more sense to add this as a global script here - /webadmin/theme-configuration?tab=javascript.
Adding custom CSS should be a last resort, as we strive to stick to Tailwind CSS.
Layout specific sections
Sometimes you may need to create a unique version of one of these sections on your site. For example, we often find it useful to be able to create a tweaked version of the site header for the homepage only.
In this case, you can create a new section and build out your unique header. From here, you will need to create a new layout by navigating to /webadmin/theme-configuration?tab=layouts. Once you've created this layout, you can edit it to select your customized header (or other section) to apply to the layout template. You can then select the custom layout when editing the page that you'd like to apply it to by opening the "Template" section, navigating to the "Layout" tab, and opening the "Layout" dropdown.
