Clover Integration Guide
Follow these steps to create the Clover API token and find the correct Clover MID for Nexus Connector onboarding.
Important: the Clover MID needed for onboarding comes from the Clover URL, not the merchant number on a processing statement.
- Log in to Clover with a user that can manage settings.
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner, then choose View all Settings.
- Under Business operations, click API tokens.
- Click the green Create new token button.
- Enter
Nexus Connector for the token name.
- Check all boxes for Read and Write, then click Create Token.
- Click Copy next to Private token, then paste it into the Nexus Connector onboarding screen.
- In Clover, click More in the left column.
- Look at the browser URL. It should look similar to this:
https://www.clover.com/appmarket/m/0FAYABCTFN6KE1
Copy the value after /m/. In this example, the MID is 0FAYABCTFN6KE1.
No API tokens option?
Confirm the Clover user has permission to manage business settings and API access.
Token not working?
Create a fresh token and make sure all Read and Write permissions are selected.
MID rejected?
Use the ID after /m/ in the Clover URL, not the statement merchant number.
