Dashboard Overview
A guide to the CMS Max admin dashboard, its main sections, and how to navigate the admin panel
Overview
When you log into CMS Max, the first thing you see is the dashboard. It gives you a quick summary of your site's activity and provides access to everything you need to manage your website.

The Sidebar
The left sidebar is your primary navigation. It organizes all admin features into sections. Click any section to expand it and see the available pages.
Common sidebar sections include:
- Content — Create and manage all website pages
- Forms — Build and manage contact forms and data collection tools
- Template — Manage your theme, media, menus, sections, layouts, and configuration
- Settings — Configure site-wide settings, SEO, webhooks, and integrations
Depending on which plugins are active on your site, you may also see sections for Blog, Events, Ecommerce, Careers, and others.

The Top Bar
The top bar runs across the top of the admin panel and includes:
- Site name — Identifies which site you are managing
- Profile menu — Access your account settings and log out
The Dashboard
The main dashboard area displays a summary of your site's recent activity. What you see depends on which features and plugins are active, but commonly includes:
- Recent form submissions
- Page and content counts
- Quick links to common tasks
Navigating the Admin Panel
Finding a Feature
If you are not sure where something is, look at the sidebar. Features are grouped by type:
- Content (pages) is usually near the top
- Media, menus, and theme settings are under Template
- Configuration and integrations are under Settings
Returning to the Dashboard
Click the site name or logo at the top of the sidebar to return to the main dashboard at any time.
Viewing Your Live Site
To see how your site looks to visitors, click the external link icon next to your site name, or open your site's public URL in a new tab.
