Slack

Receive order and form notifications directly in your team's Slack channels.

Overview

The Slack plugin sends real-time notifications to a Slack channel whenever an order is placed on your store. This keeps your team informed without needing to check the admin panel.

Setting Up Slack Notifications

Step 1: Create a Slack Channel

  1. Open your Slack workspace
  2. Create a new channel for notifications (e.g., #orders) or choose an existing one

Step 2: Set Up an Incoming Webhook

  1. Go to your Slack workspace's app management page
  2. Search for Incoming WebHooks and add it to your workspace
  3. Choose the channel where you want notifications to appear
  4. Copy the Webhook URL that Slack generates

Step 3: Configure the Plugin

  1. Go to Settings > Plugins in your CMS Max admin panel
  2. Find Slack and open the settings page
  3. Paste the Webhook URL into the Webhook URL field
  4. Click Save and Install

What You Receive

When an order is completed on your store, a notification is sent to the configured Slack channel with the order details.

Troubleshooting

Notifications are not appearing in Slack:

  • Check that the Slack plugin is installed and active in Settings > Plugins
  • Verify the Webhook URL is correct and has not been revoked
  • Make sure the Incoming WebHooks app is still installed in your Slack workspace
  • Confirm the channel the webhook is connected to still exists

Webhook URL was deleted or changed in Slack:

  • Generate a new Incoming Webhook URL in your Slack workspace settings
  • Update the URL in Settings > Plugins > Slack
