Connect your X social media profile to your CMS Max website for enhanced social sharing.

Overview

The X plugin integrates your X (formerly Twitter) profile with your CMS Max website. It enables X Cards, which display rich previews of your site's pages when links are shared on X. This gives your shared links a professional appearance with titles, descriptions, and images.

Setting Up X

  1. Go to Settings > Plugins in your admin panel
  2. Find X and open the settings page
  3. Enter your X Username (without the @ symbol)
  4. Click Save and Install

What X Cards Do

When someone shares a link to your website on X, the platform generates a card preview that includes:

  • Page title
  • Meta description
  • Featured image (if set)
  • Your X username attribution

This makes your shared links more visually engaging and drives more clicks from X.

Troubleshooting

Cards are not showing when links are shared:

  • Verify the plugin is installed and active in Settings > Plugins
  • Confirm your X username is entered correctly
  • Check that the pages being shared have a meta description and featured image set
  • Use the X Card Validator to test your URLs
