Google Tag Manager

Manage and deploy tracking tags on your website without code changes

Overview

The Google Tag Manager plugin lets you add your GTM container to your CMS Max website. Once configured, GTM's code snippets are automatically injected into every page unless a visitor has rejected optional cookies, allowing you to manage analytics, marketing, and conversion tracking tags from the Google Tag Manager interface without editing your site directly.

Setup

  1. Navigate to Settings > Plugins
  2. Find Google Tag Manager and click to open the settings page
  3. Click Save and Install
  4. Enter your Container ID and click Save

Installing Google Tag Manager automatically enables the cookie policy banner for the tenant. Review Settings > Site Configuration > Cookie Settings after install to confirm the banner copy and privacy-page link are correct for the site.
